Movie lovers can once again enjoy free films under the stars as the popular Evo Summer Cinema Series returns to Vancouver for another season of outdoor entertainment.

Hosted by Fresh Air Cinema and Evo Car Share, the annual event will transform Ceperley Meadows near Second Beach into an open-air movie theatre every Tuesday evening from July 14 through September 1, 2026.

Recognized as Canada’s largest outdoor movie series, the event attracts thousands of attendees each summer who gather on the lawn to watch popular films on a giant 40-foot inflatable screen.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and friends to enjoy complimentary first-come, first-served seating throughout the venue. For those looking for a more comfortable viewing experience, VIP seating options are also available for purchase.

As an added bonus, the first 75 VIP reservations for each screening will receive a $10 local spending voucher supported by the West End Business Improvement Association. VIP guests will also receive complimentary giveaways, including snacks and treats from event partners.

In addition to the movie screenings, visitors can enjoy food trucks, fresh popcorn, sponsor activations, contests, and surprise pop-up experiences throughout the season.

Organizers are also giving movie fans the chance to help select the final screening of the summer. For the September 1 audience choice night, attendees can vote online between two classic adventure films: Raiders of the Lost Ark or Jurassic Park.

The lineup features a mix of comedies, dramas, family films, and blockbuster favourites that appeal to audiences of all ages.
