One of Metro Vancouver’s most popular tourist attractions is getting into the spirit of this summer’s major international soccer tournament with a brand-new themed event at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
Running from June 6 through July 19, 2026, the park’s new “Canyon Kick-Off” experience will combine the excitement of global football with the natural beauty of the West Coast rainforest through a series of immersive installations, games, and themed activities.
The event will feature country flags representing all eight nations competing in Vancouver suspended throughout the park, alongside a giant 10-foot soccer ball installation beneath the iconic suspension bridge.
Visitors exploring the attraction will also encounter soccer-themed activations and interactive experiences spread across the park’s major attractions, including the Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and Cliffwalk.
Organizers say the event is designed to create a family-friendly atmosphere for soccer fans and tourists visiting Vancouver during the busy summer season.
Guests can take part in interactive games such as foosball and soccer cornhole, while younger visitors can participate in a Rainforest Explorer sticker challenge throughout the park. Several themed photo installations will also be available, including a “LOVE the beautiful game” display and other soccer-inspired backdrops.
The celebration extends beyond activities and attractions, with the park’s Cliff House Restaurant offering a globally inspired feature menu based on the cuisines of participating nations.
Featured menu items include Belgian moules frites, Turkish pistachio kataifi, Egyptian baba ganoush, Swiss-inspired alpine mac and cheese, and Canadian Caesars topped with maple caramelized bacon.
The park will operate daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the event, with guests allowed to remain on-site for up to an hour after closing time.
Visitors are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance due to limited capacity during peak summer periods. Complimentary shuttle service to and from Canada Place will also be available throughout the event.
British Columbia residents can additionally take advantage of the attraction’s annual pass promotion, allowing visitors to convert a regular admission ticket into a free BC Residents Annual Pass.
