Make Change Market Brings Local Entrepreneurs Together in Downtown Vancouver

A unique pop-up market focused on supporting local entrepreneurs is coming to downtown Vancouver later this month. The Make Change Market will feature handmade goods, art, jewelry, food items, live music, and community-focused businesses at Three Bentall Centre Breezeway. Visitors will have the chance to shop local while supporting low-income entrepreneurs building their businesses across Metro Vancouver. The free event also includes a photobooth and a chance to win round-trip Helijet flights.

A community-focused pop-up market celebrating local entrepreneurs and small businesses is heading to downtown Vancouver this month with its first-ever spring and summer edition.

The Make Change Market, organized by Employ to Empower and supported in part by Hudson Pacific Properties, will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Three Bentall Centre Breezeway.

The free Vancouver event aims to spotlight emerging entrepreneurs from low-income communities while giving visitors an opportunity to shop unique handmade products and connect directly with local creators.

Guests attending the market can browse a variety of locally made goods, including jewelry, charcuterie boards, artwork, handcrafted products, and other small business offerings. The event will also feature workshops, peer-support services, live music performances, and interactive experiences throughout the afternoon.

According to organizers, the Make Change Market is designed to help entrepreneurs gain valuable sales experience, build confidence, and introduce their products to the public for the very first time.

Since launching in 2018, Employ to Empower has supported hundreds of individuals across Metro Vancouver through entrepreneurship-focused programs aimed at overcoming barriers to employment. Many participants in the program have faced challenges related to disability, mental health, addiction recovery, and financial hardship.

This year’s market theme, “Together We Build,” highlights community support and collaboration while encouraging Vancouver residents to shop local and support small independent businesses.

Attendees can also enjoy a photobooth experience during the event, and those who RSVP online and attend will be entered for a chance to win round-trip Helijet flights between Vancouver and either Nanaimo or Victoria.

With free admission, live entertainment, and a strong focus on community impact, the Make Change Market is shaping up to be one of the more meaningful local events happening in downtown Vancouver this spring.
