Oakridge Park Opening May 28, 2026: Vancouver’s Massive New Mall and Rooftop Park Finally Set to Open
After years of construction, Oakridge Park is finally opening to the public on May 28, 2026. The new destination will feature luxury shopping, a huge rooftop park, and Time Out Market’s first location in Western Canada. It’s one of the biggest developments in Vancouver’s history—and it’s almost ready to welcome visitors.
One of the most anticipated developments in Vancouver is finally ready to open its doors. Oakridge Park has officially announced that its new shopping centre and rooftop public park will open to the public at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026. The opening marks a major milestone in the transformation of the former Oakridge Centre site into a large-scale mixed-use destination that combines shopping, dining, public space, housing, and community amenities.
The first phase of Oakridge Park will debut with approximately 500,000 square feet of retail space, with more than 100 stores, restaurants, and services expected to be open from day one. The project will feature a wide range of brands, from everyday favourites like Aritzia, lululemon, and Sephora to global luxury names such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Rolex.
One of the biggest attractions will be the arrival of Time Out Market. The 50,000-square-foot food hall will include 18 kitchens, multiple bars, and seating for roughly 1,000 guests. Featured vendors are expected to include well-known local favourites such as Feenie’s, DownLow Chicken, Via Tevere, Lunch Lady, and Heritage Asian Eatery. Unlike a traditional food court, Time Out Market is designed as a curated culinary destination showcasing some of the city’s top chefs and restaurants.
At the same time, a large portion of Oakridge Park’s 7.5-acre rooftop park will open to the public. The space will include landscaped gardens, open lawns, walking paths, and areas for events and community programming. It will be directly accessible from inside the mall as well as through multiple entrances from street level, making it one of the most unique urban parks in the city.
The grand opening will also include special launch events throughout June. Visitors can expect live music performances, floral installations by Fleurs de Villes, complimentary wellness classes, and other promotions. These activities are designed to showcase Oakridge Park as more than just a shopping centre—it’s being positioned as a new cultural and lifestyle hub for Vancouver.
The development is also deeply integrated with the surrounding neighbourhood. Upgrades to SkyTrain’s Oakridge–41st Avenue Station are nearing completion, improving access for transit users. In future phases, the site will add thousands of homes, office space, a community centre, a new Vancouver Public Library branch, and educational facilities, creating a true mixed-use community.
By the time the full project is completed in 2029, Oakridge Park will span nearly five million square feet and include more than 4,300 homes along with nine acres of public park space. From an SEO standpoint, search terms like “Oakridge Park opening date,” “new mall in Vancouver,” and “Oakridge rooftop park” are expected to generate significant interest. For shoppers, food lovers, and anyone curious about Vancouver’s newest destination, Oakridge Park is set to become one of the city’s biggest attractions.
